Malika Zarra

Seven participants from different Connect centers had the opportunity to take part in an exceptional vocal residency, led by the renowned artist and friend of Connect, Malika Zarra.

This immersive residency lasted for three intense days, during which the participants delved into the heart of the creative process, working on the creation of two original songs. They had the freedom to write the lyrics and perform them, expressing their own artistic voice. The culmination of their hard work will be presented at the second edition of Agadir Cultures, a cultural event taking place from June 21st to 24th, 2023.

The collaboration with Malika Zarra was an unforgettable experience for the participants. Over these three privileged days, they had the unique opportunity to work directly with a renowned artist and benefit from her expertise and experience in music and singing. Malika Zarra, generously sharing her time and talent, provided them with valuable advice on their vocal technique and guided them in the composition of their songs. Her influence acted as a true catalyst for their artistic development.

Asmaa Harrat, a 25-year-old participant, shared her enriching experience: “I learned so much in the company of Malika Zarra during these three days, especially on how to sing more easily and fluently. Thanks to her precious advice, I was able to improve my vocal technique. But it didn’t stop there, as we also created new songs in record time. I am excited to present them at our flagship event, Agadir Cultures.”

The vocal residency with Malika Zarra went beyond being a mere opportunity for vocal improvement. It also fostered deep connections among the participants, who shared their common love for music and nurtured each other’s enthusiasm. These three intense days were marked by learning, collaboration, and the exploration of new facets of their musical talent.

The residency with Malika Zarra was a transformative experience for the Connect participants. They acquired new skills, perfected their vocal technique, and were inspired to pursue their passion for music. Thanks to Malika Zarra’s generosity and support, they discovered their artistic potential and prepared themselves to shine on the stage of Agadir Cultures, in front of an enthusiastic audience eager for musical discoveries.
