Does tigMAÏA have any say-so as to what the artist’s project is during their stay?

The artist is completely free to pursue the artistic work of their choice, unless otherwise agreed upon in advance (for example, for a special program or partnership).

Is it obligatory to exchange with local young people, lead workshops or talks, etc.?

While this opportunity makes tigMAÏA unique, it is by no means required.

Do artists-in-residents hold an exhibition, concert, reading, etc? 

Not necessarily. However, tigMAÏA can facilitate such events for artists who wish to do so.

Are artists asked to donate a work of art to tigMAÏA’s gallery or collections?

Such a gift would naturally be welcome, but is not required.

Your residence includes :

• Private accommodation in a traditionally decorated Moroccan room
• Access to the activity room, soundproof room, multilingual library
• Use of any available equipment (audiovisual, musical etc.) you need for your work
• Daily breakfast
• Opportunity to exchange with local youth
• Use of the swimming pool
• Ground transfers to and from airport
• Use of laundry facilities
• Use of the kitchen
• Wifi
• Coffee and tea
• A final exhibition of work can be coordinated at the artist’s request
